About Git LookBack

What is Git LookBack?

Git LookBack is your personal "GitHub Wrapped" - a fun, visual way to look back at your coding journey over the year. Inspired by Spotify Wrapped, we transform your GitHub contribution data into beautiful, shareable slides that celebrate your achievements as a developer.

Features

  • Contribution Stats - See your total commits, pull requests, issues, and code reviews
  • Streak Tracking - Discover your longest coding streak and active days
  • Language Breakdown - Visualize which programming languages you used most
  • Coding Patterns - Find out when you're most productive (day/night, weekday/weekend)
  • Developer Persona - Get assigned a fun persona based on your coding habits
  • Shareable Cards - Download and share your stats on social media

How It Works

  1. Sign in with your GitHub account
  2. We fetch your public contribution data for the year
  3. Our algorithms analyze your coding patterns
  4. View your personalized stats through animated slides
  5. Share your achievements with the world!

Privacy First

We only request read-only access to your public GitHub data. We don't store your data permanently - it's cached temporarily for performance and automatically deleted after 24 hours. You can revoke access anytime from your GitHub settings.

Open Source

Git LookBack is open source! Feel free to check out the code, report issues, or contribute on GitHub.
